this year definitely went by quickly but I'm grateful for the the gift of life
Spotted a blaque label dress on lulus which retailed for $140, so I decided to DIY one for myself
bought fabric for $1.50/per yard (1.50*2=$3)

Some things I learnt this week (12/4-12/11)

Photobucket

I'm almost done with my final exams,WOOHOO! I can feel the bowl slowly lifting from my head, I feel the urge to blog very often and it feels good! so why shouldn't I do "the things I learnt last week"?
When I get a new idea or thought I walk back and forth in my room like a child who just got a new present ..kinda weird i think.
  1. If you want to forget all your troubles, wear too tight shoes! I made this mistake and went out to the mall sometime last week wearing a new shoe I decided to try out and all I could think of was my poor feet being enveloped by  wicked villagers <no bueno> lol
  2. Time invested in improving ourselves cuts down on time wasted in disapproving of others. stop wasting your time hating on other people when you can love yourself ...c'mon whats more better than love.
  3. At the same time keep staying happy! stop having high expectations about the future, try work on your present and deal with your problems then you'd have solutions for the future.
  4. Never give up on something you can't go a day without thinking about; it should keep you HUNGRY and determined
  5. The "Anonymous" people are always the ones that have the most negative things to say; I'm I the only one who's observed this? ..reason they can't? because they can't say it with recognition #weak, I was going through a fellow bloggers page and I was about to leave a comment until I stumbled on a very harsh comment from a "anonymous" being, the moment I saw it I shook my head and did my lil eye rolling thing. Blogging is for fun, people do it for various reasons but not to "show off" in any sort, there's nothing bad in constructive criticism (we all learn) but going off with mean comments about nobody's business should be done with your identity since we all have one. go back to point No 2 damn! abeg moving on......
  6. Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves so surround yourselves with positive people and be positive.

I would love to keep typing and typing because my brain explodes with thoughts when I start writing things of this sort  but I really wanted to keep this short and simple.
PS I decided to try out a new lip color and I will ramble more about it in the next post.
I also got few messages about making a tutorial on how I do my eyebrows, I will be glad to do it as soon as I have the guts to lol
like it?
later peeps!

My state with kings

*Finals Week*
I want it to end quickly! to me, this is the best way to take a little break from the studying besides twitting or checking out youtube videos.
I realized I needed a break the moment I stared into my textbook for almost 20minutes straight without understanding one thing. Story of my life huh? The reason I created this blog was to solely release my thoughts into words/wisdom, not just about fashion (which I get tempted to do alot btw) comprehend? My week in general has been full of surprises good and bad. God help us with the type of stories we hear and learn from everyday; life indeed is amusing. So never fail to be thankful!

If your reading this and you have upcoming finals like I do

I wish you the best of luck! (but make sure you study though lol)
  • FUTURE WISH LIST: Twins! although I am still a twenty something year old good looking lady *grins* with no plans of getting married anytime soon let alone have kids;  I want twins! I want to believe it runs in my family since I have twin siblings (non-identical) male and female who are so adorable and funny. God please answer my future prayers o lol jk but on a serious note though I really want twins; there is just something tantalizing about it. Thanks to technology, you can plan to have them but AT ALL O! I want the natural type...the type that will do racing competition to get to the egg (funny ideology) lol
I remembered this after watching this video of Channy and Chrissy, they are so cute and adorable. check them out and you'd see what I mean. Watching them talk makes me smile and WISH! they're funny too

ok let me get back to studying!
chao!

I love the weather here in Houston Texas; although its very bipolar, Its still something to put a smile on one's face every now and then.
Ive had these shoes for a long time, the most recent I purchased will be the Jeffrey Campbell spike which has been selling out everywhere
I purchased those since September (early birthday present *giggles)  and the others like earlier this year but I still haven't worn them. CAN YOU IMAGINE!
I try to blame it on the fact that I'm 5'10 and it will cause me too much attention when I wear them or simply because it might be "too much" for houston to handle.

Photobucket
Jeffrey Campbell Wrecker boot in black
Had this shoe in brown (sold them), missed them, then bought it again but couldn't find the brown *sobs* but I'm happy with this color,
they're probably sold out but you could get the similar here
Photobucket
Jessica Simpson Dany in grey
I really like this shoe, I prefer it to the jeffrey campbell foxy wood not only the look/quality but the fact it was extremely cheap ($20)
get the similar here
Photobucket
Jeffrey Campbell Lita Spike in black
This shoe is freaking hawt! it sells out pretty quickly you can get it in black, brick red, taupe suede(fav) solestruck or urban outfitters
Cant wait to wear them with my outfits and post them
what shoe do you own (never worn) but still craving to wear?

Some things I learnt this week

Photobucket
Hello again!
new addition (excited =D)
This time its about the things I learn week after week, I figured this will be a good way to catch up on my blog posts.
I'm glad to say I adopted this from a fellow blogger Berry Haute (love your blog girl)
so lets get to it!

  1. I randomly like to take pictures in my car when I'm driving, it freaks my siblings and friends when I do but I think its fun lol.
  2. Pick your friends wisely because people do judge you by the people (friends) you associate with.
  3. The only way you can be happy is by filling your mind with happy thoughts and positive thinking...so let go of sad bunkers
  4. A little bit of communication, goes a long way!
  5. Learn to take responsibility for your actions, never blame anyone for your own mistakes.
  6. Friendship without quarrels/ arguing never lasts.
  7. Appreciate the quality time you get to spend with family/ friends.
  8. Bad habits are like a comfortable bed; they are easy to get into, but hard to get out of.
  9. You have to do what others won't. To achieve what others don't. so don't be afraid to be "weird"
  10. Be careful of the words you say, keep them soft and sweet; you never know from day to day which ones you'll have to eat. (people do use what you tell them for their advantage)

Nude Craze

Hey blog bugs!
I just realized one thing, Its so easy to keep up with peoples blogs but I cant keep up with mine lol I think its still a learning process though.
Any tips?
Hope you enjoyed your week?
Those of you in the states definitely did! (I think) cause I sure did and I ate alot and shopped alot a little too.(can't wait to show the things I got, when they come)
I have tons of pics to post but gradually I'd get used to it, I went out only once with couple of peeps to smoke hookah, although the night didn't go so well...I was able to get pictures before I stepped out

Syndrome de Bl^amer

Blame me for not being there,
because you never wanted to be there
Blame me for not making you happy,
because you never wanted to be happy
Blame me for time wasted,
because you never thought of time spent
Blame me for being fake,
because you never wanted to be real
Blame me for being selfish,
because you never thought about me
Blame me for your low self esteem
because you made it show
Blame for me making you hurt
because you made yourself hurt
Blame me for not being a friend
because you were the friend
Blame me for not showing love
because your pride couldnt let you
Deep down inside you know you want to blame one thing,
....
YOU
because you let yourself blame me

DEEP

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

We are Family! (ASA weekend cont.)

                                                                              Blog bugs!

I thought to continue my weekend segment of how my school celebrated their ASA weekend and I was thrilled to have spent it with my wonderful cousin Evelyn,  we had the chance to bond very well as we  explored Houston and what it had to offer.

One of my greatest shock was realizing how much Downtown Houston Night life has painfully diverted to the house of boredom, My cousin and I walked by shut down Clubs that were said to be popping back then, only left to enter places with not a spec of living thing but lifeless music and empty room with a bar lol ,
Never the less, we still got to enjoy ourselves..and we enjoyed every bit especially our
long interesting gist( of course you know we girls love to talk)

"I live for nights I can't remember with the people I can't forget"

I got the chance to do her make-up, so I was very excited since Im still an amateur proclaimed MUA lol  check out the pictures :D

Nothing better than going out and not spending a dime!

Our eyebrows speak for its self! fierce!

I love her braids..it has such a different look! she did her signature side twirl for me too

I love statement pieces, mostly necklaces, my collection is crazy!

shes mean mugging the camera here lol

I love my family to death!
Hope you all are having a great week? Can't wait to continue my postings I have so much to show you guys but for now...ENJOY!!
                                                                              xx

ASA Weekend Bliss! Photobucket

Hey dearies! guess who's back? lol. *peeps around the room*  As I promised, I'm going to keep stepping up my blogging game! I think it's utterly exciting just giving a rundown on certain events and experiences I'm proud to be part of, this past weekend was no exclusion,
For those of you that are unaware, I am a college student; although I can't wait to be done,

                          My school (oops not naming)
hosted their annual African Student Association (ASA) weekend. It was filled with joy, laughter, fine boys, fine girls, ugly boys, ugly girls, (no pun intended)  big, small and flat buttocks, different races: black, white, yellow, red, bleached, orange etc  (do not take me seriously) cool fashion statements, fashion fails and can I say BIG HAIR! EVERYWHERE!
Trending:  lots and lots of high waisted distressed denim shorts with banteaus, prints and colorful Blazers!
Not to mention, My lovely cousins came to visit to as well as my long time high school friend.
SO ......Long story short...The weekend was even more promising!
Enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think!

My lovely cousin Evelyn, we have high tendencies to be mistaken as twins hehe
